The kit lets a teacher start structured lessons quickly in a new, temporary or under-resourced classroom. The chalkboard paint and brush can turn a suitable wall or board into a writing surface, the large blackboard instruments support geometry teaching at the front of the room, and students work on their own slates and in exercise books. The lockable metal box keeps everything together and serves as secure storage between lessons.

The user's guides in English and French explain the materials, and the children with disability guide helps teachers plan lessons that include every learner. Check the contents against the list on arrival, hand out consumables in the pack quantities shown, and use the A4 feedback form to record how the kit worked in practice.

Typical Use

The kit covers the three jobs a teacher does every day. At the board, coloured and white chalk, the 45 cm compass and the 100 cm ruler let the teacher draw clear circles, number lines and diagrams large enough for the back row, and the duster keeps the surface clean between topics. For display, the A1 manila sheets and duct tape turn student group work into wall charts, while the 51 x 71 cm posters provide ready visual material. The wooden teaching clock supports lessons on reading time with hands the whole class can see.

For record-keeping, the A4 ruled exercise book serves as a lesson or attendance log, and the blue, red and green pens make marking and colour-coded notes easy. The boxed pencils, erasers and sharpeners can also be lent to students who arrive without materials. Education departments often add the kit to school lab equipment bulk supply orders so that every new classroom opens with the same basic set; store chalk and paper in a dry cupboard to keep them usable.

The A4 squared register records attendance from the first session, helping organisers track how many children are being reached. Ruled and squared exercise books support early literacy and numeracy, while drawing books and colouring pencils offer a calm, familiar activity during a stressful period.

The A4 carrier bags with interlock seal let each child keep books and pencils together and dry between sessions. At an estimated 28 kg per tri-walled carton, the kit can be moved by a small vehicle or carried by two people to sites that trucks cannot reach. Procurement teams handling an education tender in India or an overseas relief programme can combine it with other teaching kits in one consignment.

In the early grades the two abacuses, the 1000 plastic cubes and the five sets of 100 counting rods build place value, addition and subtraction through grouping and regrouping, while the three-hand clock model teaches hours, minutes and seconds. The oral practice unit supports quick mental-arithmetic drills at the start of a lesson. As pupils move up, the 450 mm blackboard protractor, 410 mm compass and square sets let the teacher draw accurate angles and shapes on the board that the whole class can copy, and the geometric board, angle demonstrator, geometry sets and figure-making cards bring shape and angle work to the desk.

For the upper primary measurement curriculum, the volume unit demonstrators, cylinder and cone sets, capacity unit and area-and-perimeter demonstrator show why formulas work instead of asking children to memorise them, and the fraction kit makes equivalent fractions concrete. Keep paper for worksheets in stock, count cubes and rods back into their containers after each session, and store everything in the lockable box; schools equipping several classrooms often buy it with other school lab equipment so each campus has an identical set.
