Force Board, Wall Type

Product Code : SLE/PHY/174

Force Board, Wall Type (Product Code: SLE/PHY/174) is a wall-mounted board used to demonstrate the parallelogram and polygon of forces in school and college mechanics lessons. Measuring 750 x 600 mm, it leaves a clear space all round the edge for attaching pulleys, and it comes complete with mounting brackets, cords, pulleys and masses. It is manufactured by Jain Scientific Equipments Pvt Ltd (ScienceLab), an OEM, at its own factory in Ambala, India.

What Is the Wall Force Board Used For?

Pulleys attached at the board's edge carry cords to a common knot, with masses hanging from each cord. When the knot comes to rest, students trace the cord directions on a sheet of paper fixed to the board, draw the forces to scale and check that they close into a triangle or polygon — the heart of vector addition in mechanics lab equipment for Indian schools and colleges.

Because the board hangs on the wall, a whole class can watch the same demonstration without crowding round a bench, and the teacher can leave it set up between lessons. Fix the brackets into a solid wall, check the board is vertical, and let the knot settle fully before recording any angles.
