Specifications

What Is the Economy Burner Meker Used For?

This is an everyday bench burner for the heating steps that fill most practical timetables: warming a beaker of water on a tripod and wire gauze, evaporating a solution to crystallisation in a basin, heating a solid in a boiling tube, or keeping a water bath simmering. The mesh plate spreads the flame over its 25 mm width, so glassware on a gauze heats more gently and evenly than over a narrow single-cone flame.

When planning a school laboratory setup in India, a common approach is to provide economy burners for the student benches and keep a few heavier-duty burners for ignition work. Before lighting, fit gas tubing that grips the 10 mm riffled inlet firmly, keep the mesh plate clear of spills, and let the burner cool on its base before it is returned to the store.

ScienceLab is the trading name of Jain Scientific Equipments Private Limited, the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) of the Economy Burner Meker, which is made at the company's own licensed factory at Saha, Ambala, Haryana, India.
