Mini Science Kit – Electricity (Product Code: SLE/CH/159) introduces simple circuits through a sequence of practical questions: what makes a circuit complete, what a switch does, which materials conduct, how to change the brightness of a bulb and how to draw what has been built as a circuit diagram. Built by Jain Scientific Equipments Pvt Ltd (ScienceLab), Ambala, India, it is an electricity experiment kit for school classrooms that want every group connecting circuits with their own hands.
| Parameter | Detail |
|---|---|
| Type | Mini science kit (topic kit) |
| Topic | Electricity and simple circuits |
| Skills developed | Building and changing circuits, testing conductors, using switches, controlling bulb brightness, drawing circuit diagrams |
| Activities | Seven activities, listed below |
| Suitable for | Small-group circuit work in school science |
Activities performed with this kit:
Pupils first build a loop that lights a bulb and then break it at different points to see that current needs a complete path. From there they change the circuit – adding or removing components – and predict what will happen to the bulb before testing. The conductor activity turns into a quick sorting exercise: groups place everyday objects in a gap in the circuit and record which ones let the bulb light. Adding a switch shows how a circuit is opened and closed deliberately, just like the switches at home.
The two brightness activities lead pupils to see that the number of cells, the number of bulbs and the wires themselves all affect how bright a bulb glows. Finishing with circuit diagrams helps pupils record their designs in standard symbols. Use only low-voltage cells for these activities – never mains electricity – and disconnect circuits when they are not being observed so cells do not run down.
ScienceLab is the name under which Jain Scientific Equipments Private Limited, an Ambala, Haryana company, makes and ships physics, chemistry and biology teaching equipment; this electricity kit is part of that range. Details are on our company profile.

Are cells and bulbs included?
The component list is not shown on this page. Ask us through the contact page for the packing list, including whether cells and spare bulbs are supplied.
Is the kit safe for young pupils?
Circuit work of this kind is carried out with low-voltage cells, which is the safe way to teach it. Pupils must never connect anything to a mains socket.
What does changing the wires teach?
Pupils find that the wires in a circuit affect how bright the bulb is – an early introduction to the idea of resistance.
Why does a bulb sometimes fail to light?
Usually a loose connection, a flat cell or a blown bulb. Checking each connection in turn is itself a useful fault-finding exercise.
Does it cover circuit diagrams?
Yes. One activity asks pupils to draw the circuits they build, so they practise standard symbols.
How do I order kits for a whole school?
Send the number of kits and your delivery location; we supply schools in India and international markets and can combine this kit with other topic kits in one quotation.
Request pricing through the contact page or add the kit to your enquiry cart.
