What Is the Stereo Trinocular Microscope Used For?
A stereo microscope gives an upright, three-dimensional view at low to moderate magnification, which suits whole specimens such as insects, flowers, seeds, dissected specimens and colonies on culture plates. The third (trinocular) port carries the camera, so a teacher can send the live image to a data projector and let the whole class see exactly what is under the lenses.
