Clean and dry the fingertip, puncture it with a lancet and wipe away the first drops as your procedure directs. Hold the microcuvette tip into the next well-formed drop and let it fill in one continuous action; interrupted filling can leave air bubbles in the optical area. Wipe excess blood from the outside of the cuvette without touching the open end, check it visually and place it in the photometer holder at once. For venous or arterial samples, a drop from a well-mixed tube or syringe is applied in the same way.
Take out only the microcuvettes you need and close the screw cap firmly straight away, so the rest of the vial stays protected. Screening teams buying disposable lab equipment in India usually order microcuvettes, lancets and sharps containers together, so every finger-prick test in the field has a complete kit.
ScienceLab is the trading name of Jain Scientific Equipments Private Limited, an Ambala, Haryana company that supplies these glucose microcuvettes to clinics, laboratories and screening programmes in India and international markets alongside its other sampling consumables. See the company profile for more information.

How much blood does each Microcuvette for Glucose take?
Each Microcuvette for Glucose collects 5 to 10uL of whole blood, drawn in by capillarity directly from the skin surface. The single-use cuvette then serves as the measuring cell when it is inserted into the photometer.
Can venous or arterial blood be used in the glucose microcuvette?
Yes. Capillary, venous and arterial whole blood can all be used with the Microcuvette for Glucose; for venous or arterial samples, fill the cuvette from a drop taken from a well-mixed tube or syringe.
Which photometer is the Microcuvette for Glucose made for?
The Microcuvette for Glucose is inserted for direct reading in a glucose photometer (glucose 201+ set). Send us your photometer model through the contact page so we can confirm compatibility before you order.
Can a glucose microcuvette be reused?
No. The Microcuvette for Glucose is single-use: each cuvette collects and measures one sample and should then be discarded as clinical waste in line with your facility's biomedical waste rules.
How are the glucose microcuvettes packed, and what is their shelf life?
The Microcuvette for Glucose comes as a box of 100 in a plastic vial with a screw cap, with an English instruction manual. Shelf life depends on the product and storage conditions, so ask us for the expiry date of the batch you are quoted.
