Atom Models

Product Code : SCI-995/020

Atom Models (Product Code: SCI-995/020) is a set of coloured spheres used to build models of atoms, showing protons and neutrons in the nucleus and electrons around it, in school chemistry and physics lessons. It contains 48 yellow electron spheres, 57 red or green proton spheres and 57 black neutron spheres, so learners can assemble and compare different atoms as a hands-on atom model kit. It is made by Jain Scientific Equipments Pvt Ltd (ScienceLab), an OEM manufacturer, at its own factory in Ambala, India.

What Are Atom Models Used For?

Building an atom from separate spheres turns the numbers on the periodic table into something pupils can count. The number of red or green protons fixes the element, black neutrons are added to reach the mass number, and yellow electrons equal in number to the protons make the atom neutral; arranging those electrons in shells of 2, 8 and 8 then shows why elements in the same group behave alike.

The same pieces show isotopes, by changing only the neutron count, and ions, by adding or removing electrons. The set also works as a science model kit for school projects on atomic structure. Sort the spheres back by colour after each lesson so that the counts stay complete for the next class.

What to Specify When Ordering

  • The number of sets, for example one per group.
  • Your preferred proton colour, red or green, as the listing allows either.
  • Whether a base, shell rings or connecting parts are needed, as they are not listed with the spheres.

OEM Manufacturer

ScienceLab is the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) of the Atom Models, which are produced at the company's own licensed factory at Saha, Ambala, Haryana, India, and supplied factory-direct to schools, colleges, dealers and importers. The brand belongs to Jain Scientific Equipments Private Limited, so quotations, requests for extra spheres and repeat orders all go to the maker itself. Institutional buyers completing vendor forms can use GSTIN 06AAECJ8618A1ZT and Legal Entity Identifier 3358004HRD1JIVXKYX49. See the ScienceLab company profile for more.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the Atom Models set?
The Atom Models set contains 48 electron spheres coloured yellow, 57 proton spheres coloured red or green, and 57 neutron spheres coloured black, for building models of atomic structure in class.

How do students build an atom with it?
With the Atom Models, students take the atomic number from the periodic table, place that many proton spheres with the right number of neutron spheres as the nucleus, then add an equal number of electron spheres arranged in shells.

Can the set show isotopes and ions?
Yes. The Atom Models show isotopes when learners change only the number of black neutron spheres in a nucleus, and ions when they add or remove yellow electron spheres while the protons stay the same.

Is a base or shell ring included?
The listing for the Atom Models covers the electron, proton and neutron spheres only. If you need a base, shell rings or connectors to display finished atoms, ask us through the contact page before ordering.

Who manufactures the Atom Models?
The Atom Models are manufactured by Jain Scientific Equipments Pvt Ltd (ScienceLab), the OEM, at its own licensed factory at Saha, Ambala, Haryana, India, and are supplied directly to schools, colleges, dealers and importers.

Can the Atom Models be supplied for tenders or bulk orders?
The Atom Models can be quoted in bulk for school tenders, education departments and distributors in India and international markets. Send the number of sets, proton colour preference and delivery points through our contact page.
