Physiology Radio Telemetry System

The key point of current world physiology research is gradually shifting from wound experiments to non-invasive or micro-invasive experiments, from recording physiologic indexes when animals are anaesthetized to recording when they are awake and free to obtain experimental data on more scientific and real condition. The system installs light Telemetry Sensors on animals to record physiologic indexes including Electrocardiograph, Brain potential, Blood Pressure, Breath and Temperature when they are awake and free for a long time on the basis of non-invasive or micro-invasive experiments.

Physiology Radio Telemetry System consists of three parts.

1) Collection Sender fixed on animals.

2) Data Receiver connecting PC(USB)

3) PC Data Analysis Software- BL420F/S

1. Sender

1) Sender uses micro-battery power supply method of volume above 120 milliampere, circuit board and battery of size below 2cmx3cm and package design of waterproof and anti-magnetic interference. It is fixed on back of animals. The weight is below 5g.

2) Collection channel: two channels with ten-bit ADC. Collection rate is controllable. The maximum is 1 KHz.

3) Amplify: maximum is one thousand times.

4) Filter: 200Hz

5) Time Constant: 3s

6) Radio Transmission Distance: going through wall for 20m and satisfying telemetry requirements from next room.

7) Power Supply: battery is changeable and rechargeable.

8) Experiments are suitable for animals like rats, mice, rabbits, cats, dogs, monkeys or human body tests directly.

2. Receiver

1. Receiver realizes functions of radioing sender and communicating with USB orders and data. It is a square box of 10cmx20cm with black outer private antenna. The power is supplied by USB directly without outer power. The panel consists of power indicator lights, data signal lights, Sender connection ready lights and connection test buttons. It is convenient to operate.
